Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, this position coordinates regular inventory and distribution of supplies/equipment to the Summer Play Program locations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs and maintains regular inventory checks of supplies and equipment throughout the summer season.
  • Works with the Summer Play Program Leadership Team and Recreation Leaders  to effectively manage supplies and equipment within existing procurement policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and prepares supply requests from Recreation Leaders
  • Takes action to ensure  all Occupational Health and Safety procedures are followed including Public Health standards.
  • Understands the Workplace Violence Prevention Program and Respectful and Harassment-Free Workplace Policies and expectations of the City of Saskatoon and supports a positive culture. 
  • Distributes supplies and equipment to all Summer Play Program locations, utilizing a city provided Cargo van.
  • Must be able to safely lift and transport bins weighing up to 50 pounds, including navigating stairs, loading into vehicles, and delivering to designated Summer Play locations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 education.
  • One year’s work experience demonstrating strong organizational or administrative skills.
  • Successful completion of one year post-secondary education in recreation/leisure, physical education, or related field, preferred.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain by position start date a valid, recognized Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED level C certificate. 
  • Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence and current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to record and maintain inventory levels in a clear and organized manner.
  • Ability to work with peers and supervisors in a positive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

Requires Security Check

Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) upon offer of employment.

Additional Requirements

Weekly hours determined by the department.

Weekly Hours: Hours of work vary; daytime, evening and weekend work is required.

Salary Range: $20.13 to $22.20 CAD per hour (2026 rates)
