Job Summary
The Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator provides expertise, solutions and functional guidance related to the LMS. This involves the identification, documentation and resolution of issues and providing support in collaboration with team members, process owners and subject matter experts across various departments.
The LMS Coordinator also provides support to projects in the organization where the project implementation has a direct impact on Learning & Development outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides daily administration, maintenance, LMS support and expertise, functional guidance, trouble shooting and solutions for the Learning Management System.
- Creates and generates reports as required, uploads documents, audits completeness and accuracy of data and identifies compliance issues.
- Provides LMS expertise, LMS set up and ongoing support, analysis, testing, support implementation and documentation. Supports updates and documents procedures.
- Investigates enhanced LMS functionality to support business needs, recommends action plans for change and assesses the volume and complexity of work required. Updates or creates workflows of processes to support the business requirements and ensures the LMS configurations meets the business requirements
- Creates and maintains processes and standard operating procedures.
- Develops and delivers training and communications based on identified needs for LMS usage and application.
- Assists Information Technology resources with end-user coordination related to systems updates, testing of functionality and workflows, development of failure recovery plans, and works with vendor as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science plus one years’ experience in Information Technology.
OR
- Successful completion of a recognized, two-year, post-secondary computer technology or business systems program plus three years’ experience in Information Technology.
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software platforms.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic principles and structures of operating systems.
- Knowledge of the principles and applications of data-processing documentation.
- Thorough knowledge of current LMS operating best practices and techniques.
- Demonstrated customer services skills, including the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including preparing and conducting presentations.
- Skill in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Skills in HTML coding would be an asset.
Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Range: $71,876.88 to $84,455.28 CAD per annum (2025 rates)
