This position is a CUPE 59 position and will be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Should it not be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, external candidates will be considered.
Job Summary
To support, and assist the execution of major strategic and operational projects within Saskatoon Land, while also providing support for day-to-day sales and financial processes as needed. This role blends project management support, business operations, and functional support, ensuring effective implementation of new systems and continuous service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support cross-functional implementation of key business initiatives, including enterprise system deploymentsand maintenance, asset review programs, and large-scale data and records management migrations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines and deliverables. Track milestones,risks, and dependencies across key initiative projects. Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Support user adoption through training coordination and documentation. Assist with change managementstrategies to ensure smooth transitions and contribute to the development of documentation such asworkflows, procedures, and user guidance.
- Provide backup support to Sales functions in all land categories as required, including assisting with land option and sales transactions, market land releases, leases, payments and other related administrativeprocesses.
- Maintains the Eligible Contractor Listing. Verifies eligibility of all customers prior to processing land sales in the Land Department financial system. Monitors customer compliance with purchasing, warranty and building requirements.
- Communicates with purchasers, contractors, lawyers, other civic departments, and the public regarding land sales and leases.
- Assists with the training of new sales staff, as required.
- Perform a range of administrative support functions for the department, which may include officeadministrative tasks, financial processing (accounts receivable and payable), and program administration.
- Perform all website editor functions for Finance & Sales content. Ensure information is accurate, current,and aligned with organizational standards.
- Reviews, edits, and distributes a variety of correspondence for the Department, including reports forCouncil and Committees of Council. Ensures reports are submitted prior to deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
- Diploma in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and land development property transaction experience.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, finance, or administrative services.
- Experience in assisting project management, including planning and execution, would be considered an asset.
- Experience with enterprise system implementations (ERP, land management, records systems)
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Strong project organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Considerable knowledge of business process analysis, system design and implementation.
- Considerable knowledge of land sales, legal agreements and the tendering process.
- Knowledge of basic financial processes (A/R, A/P)
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of civic staff, including senior administration and elected officials.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Adaptability and ability to work across both project and operational environments
- Demonstrated skill in the use of a computer using the Microsoft Office suite.
Weekly Hours: 36.67
Salary Range: $72,362.64 to $79,779.84 CAD per annum (2026 rates)
