Job Summary
Under supervision of the Indoor Arenas Supervisor, this position performs required work involving the operation and maintenance of an indoor arena facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains the indoor arena facility to predetermined standards for cleaning, safety and programming (e.g. cleaning dressing rooms, washing sinks and toilets), snow clearing, custodial sweeping bleacher areas making/maintaining ice conditions.
- Operates required equipment such as ice resurfacer, ice edger, floor cleaner.
- Responds to requests from staff, user groups and the public in the facility to ensure that program needs are being met.
- Report any facility issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- Three months related arena experience.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain SPRA Level 1 Arena Certificate or equivalent
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid first aid and CPR certificate.
- Knowledge of the operation used for ice maintenance such as ice resurfacer, and ice edger.
- Knowledge of the materials, practices and equipment used in cleaning and maintaining a public facility and work area.
- Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and effectively with the public.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.

Salary Range: to CAD per hour (2023 rates)
