The Business Transformation department is looking for an Enterprise & Business Systems Lead.

The Work You Will Be Involved In:

  • Leads the development and execution of an effective and sustainable Enterprise and Business Systems program and related processes.
  • Develops, implements and monitors a strategic, comprehensive Enterprise and Business Systems framework, including system categorization, life-cycle management, sustainment, and risk management practices.
  • Facilitates risk assessment and risk management processes.
  • Creates and maintains effective Enterprise and Business Systems policies and plans and ensures consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services. Facilitates Enterprise and Business Systems standard compliance.
  • Manages assigned staff (including in-scope and/or coordinator staff), hires, assigns work schedules, plans for future workforce needs and directs the preparation of business planning and annual budgets.  Plans, organizes, directs, monitors and evaluates the work of staff and disciplinary action when required.
  • Leads the planning, implementation and management of Information Systems architecture and related requirements guided by industry best practices and standards.
  • Leads and facilitates the overarching Enterprise and Business Systems governance structure, including reporting of KPIs, events, risks, and mitigations to governance tables as required.
  • Develops, deploys, and maintains enterprise system incident, outage, and escalation management processes and leads response to major enterprise system incidents.
  • Establishes and implements a monitoring framework for internal digital operations to ensure compliance to Enterprise and Business Systems standards and policy.
  • Establishes effective reporting processes that support management discussion and leadership decision making about system roadmaps and objectives.
  • Builds alignment between information systems architecture and enterprise architecture.
  • Develops, deploys, and maintains enterprise and business systems training, communications, and enablement strategies.
  • Monitors the system landscape for emerging risks and mitigating solutions.
  • Liaise with other relevant internal stakeholders, organizations, external agencies and advisory bodies, to ensure that the organization maintains an effective set of Enterprise and Business Systems.
  • Ensures that effective disaster recovery policies and standards are in place, tested and maintained.
  • Assists with preparation and management of and operating and capital budgets and assists with procurement for Enterprise and Business Systems purchases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Enterprise Systems Governance: Establishes and leads a comprehensive enterprise and business systems governance framework to ensure systems are effectively managed, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy. Defines standards, policies, and controls that guide system lifecycle management, decision-making, and accountability across the enterprise.
  • Strategic Systems Planning: Develops and maintains long-term system roadmaps that align with business priorities and enterprise architecture. Works with senior leadership to balance operational needs with future growth, ensuring systems remain sustainable, scalable, and fit for purpose.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: Leads enterprise-wide risk assessment and mitigation strategies for information systems. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry frameworks. Proactively identifies emerging risks and implements controls to safeguard organizational assets and data.
  • Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Drives alignment between business systems and enterprise architecture standards. Applies best practices and frameworks to ensure integration, interoperability, and consistency across the technology landscape while supporting business capabilities and transformation initiatives.
  • Program and Lifecycle Management: Oversees the full lifecycle of enterprise systems, including intake, categorization, implementation, sustainment, and retirement. Ensures structured processes are in place to optimize system performance, manage technical debt, and support continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and advisory bodies. Acts as a trusted advisor to leadership, facilitating collaboration and ensuring shared understanding of system priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Policy Development and Standardization: Creates, implements, and enforces enterprise-wide policies, standards, and procedures for business systems. Ensures consistency, quality, and compliance across all systems, services, and technology initiatives.
  • Change and Continuous Improvement: Promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and service delivery. Leads change initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience while maintaining stability and control.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Seven to nine years of experience in IT solutions, compliance, regulatory experience, or continuous improvement, as well as successfully executing programs, contract and vendor negotiations and management, with a minimum of 5 years in Leadership roles
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Possession of a post-graduate degree would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including the ability to prepare and present presentations of a specialized nature.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, innovation and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common IT management frameworks, ITIL, COBIT, and TOGAF.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information, exercising sound judgement to make decisions in complex and confidential situations, behaving at all times with tact, integrity and diplomacy.

Weekly Hours: 40 

Salary Range: $113,871.36 to $133,798.56 CAD per annum (2026 rates)
