Job Summary

This position assists in the coordination and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the planning, design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Assists with the tendering process for civic programs, including preliminary documents, cost estimates, detailed design drawing preparations, material selections and specification reviews.
  • Performs inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with specifications and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
  • Communicates with contractors, other civic departments and regulatory agencies to provide contract administration and ensure compliance with Civic and Provincial regulations.
  • Reviews, and provides recommendations, relating to technical specifications, construction materials and methods of construction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completion of three years' university with current enrolment in the Engineering Co-op Internship Program, and the intention to return to school full-time following the internship.
  • Experience in municipal infrastructure construction projects would be considered an asset.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with civic staff, civic officials, representatives of other agencies and the public.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

Weekly Hours: 36.67 

Salary Range: $56,179.56 CAD per annum (2022 rates)
