Job Summary
As an ERP Portfolio Lead, this position is responsible for delivering functional area leadership for people, process, and technology changes within the goals and objectives of the SAP Program. Aligned to the Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) function, this position will bring the relevant business knowledge and subject matter expertise to the SAP Program during planning and implementation and will be responsible to plan and support the business transition to the new system and business processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the SAP Program team, Information Technology division, Finance division, and the Supply Chain Management division to prepare for, plan, and implement system and business process changes.
- Participates in SAP Program activities related to the Finance and SCM functional areas and meet commitments in a timely manner.
- Leads Finance and SCM team members through issues encountered in the design and implementation of solutions.
- Provides oversight and leadership to the Financial and SCM Module Implementations including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Work Order Management, Financial Reporting and Budgeting, Procure to Pay, and Materials Management.
- Communicates to develop client “buy in” and support, implementation strategies, formulate program plans and address specific issues that may arise during implementation or as part of ongoing support of applications in the production environment.
- Identifies program risks and communicates credible scenarios/feasibility issues.
- Leads team members on data analysis and integration of applications.
- Assists with the development of program scope, budget, and priorities.
- Ensures efficiency, quality and consistency by aligning the team with standards for development tools, platforms, methodology and controls.
- Promotes and supports the SAP Program across the organization and works with others to accomplish SAP goals.
- Establishes end-to-end business processes that impact multiple divisions in establishing standard business process.
- Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to determine and deliver recommendations and decisions within their program role.
- Leads the development of policies and procedures specific to the SAP program for the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
- Acts as the definitive source of knowledge, technique or expertise in the area of Finance and SCM and acts as an ambassador for their knowledge area.
- Collaborates with experts to support organizational change management and communications impacting their portfolios.
- Supports the development and coordinates user training and required materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• A degree in commerce, business administration, computer science or related discipline.
• A professional designation (CPA) is required.
• A professional designation from Supply Chain Canada (SCC) or SAP sourcing and procurement certification would be considered an asset.
• 7 to 9 years experience in SAP implementation or large-scale software/process improvement with relevant business process and integrated systems design experience including 6 years leadership experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively, gain knowledge from the SAP consultants and specialists, and become a functional area leader for business process change.
• Demonstrates organizational skill and is self-directed.
• Ability to articulate ideas, concepts, messages, and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics and can relate to people within the organization to support strategic project goals.
• Demonstrated ability to educate others with a willingness to share information.
• Ability to make complex decisions while considering the “big picture” perspective.
• Demonstrated ability of successful complex problem-solving analysis and skills to successfully implement change.
Additional Requirements
Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Range: $117,900.96 to $138,533.28 CAD per annum (2022 rates)
