Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy of Corporate Revenue process documents. This role facilitates process improvement through analysis and collaboration with relevant stakeholders and ensures that documents are effective, accessible, and compliant with the City of Saskatoon’s standards and policy requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitates process documentation and mapping to ensure all departmental policies and procedures are consistent, adhere to corporate standards and are accurately documented and available.
- Analyzes cross-functional Corporate Revenue business processes to identify opportunities for operational optimization and efficiency and provides recommendations for process improvement.
- Supervises assigned staff. Assists with hiring, training, performance management and disciplinary processes, as required.
- Coordinates the documentation review and approval process, including periodic reviews of Corporate Revenue documents.
- Updates process documentation inventory when changes arise, such as new program implementations, program upgrades, or process revisions.
- Manages the department’s Record Management System.
- Coordinates the collection, analysis, and maintenance of data to support process documentation effectiveness.
- Collaborates with department subject matter experts, as well as other stakeholders, to gather information required for documenting effective, accurate policies and procedures for implementation.
- Monitors outcomes of new procedures to assess their effectiveness.
- Conducts research and consultation with other municipalities and stakeholders to support process development and responds to inter-municipal enquiries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in commerce, business, public administration, public policy or related discipline.
- 4-6 years’ experience in business support, business analysis, and/or organizational change management.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of workflow analysis and documentation.
- Knowledge of Corporate Revenue policies, procedures and interdepartmental business flows.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and practices.
- Knowledge of maintaining office procedures and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, generate ideas, and make decisions.
- Ability to collect and evaluate information from multiple sources in order to provide recommendations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and maintain a high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing activities, plan and organize work effectively.
- Ability to manage conflicts in a positive and timely manner.
- Demonstrated skill in business English, technical writing, grammar, and composition.
- Demonstrated skill in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Weekly Hours: 36.67
Salary Range: $76,902.00 to $90,009.84 CAD per annum (2026 rates)
