Job Summary
Under supervision of the Clerk 11, this position performs duties related to the collection and security of all Park gate revenues in compliance with City cash control procedures at the Forestry Farm.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receives and processes admissions and sells available retail items. Maintains accurate account of sale transactions.
- Records all transactions using an automated point-of-sale system.
- Prepares a daily float and cash report, balances float and shift revenues, and prepares bank deposits.
- Receives in-person enquiries and provides program information to customers.
- Assists supervisory staff in providing shift orientation for new staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience Requirements
- Grade 10 education.
- Six months' related cashier and customer service experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
- Knowledge of handling cash, balancing and completing cash reports.
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with the public.
- Ability to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Skill in the use of an automated point-of-sale system.
Requires Security Check
Additional Requirements
Shift work and weekend work is involved.
Weekly Hours: Part Time
Salary Range: $21.42 to $23.62 CAD per hour (2025 rates)
