Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dusts and polishes furniture; empties and cleans wastepaper baskets in offices and administration and program areas.
- Spot washes walls and woodwork; cleans window sills and performs light mopping and vacuuming.
- Uses cleaning equipment/supplies for cleaning, washing, sweeping, stripping, waxing, vacuuming and polishing a variety of surfaces.
- Services washroom and locker room facilities by washing, replenishing supplies, unstopping sinks and toilets, and reporting required repairs.
- Clears and maintains grounds of City facilities. Uses ice breaking, snow removal, grass cutting and weeding equipment. Picks up and removes outside debris.
- Sets up meeting rooms and program areas; secures and locks gates and doors of buildings and City property.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Requirements
- Grade 10 education.
- Three months’ related cleaning and maintenance experience.
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
- Possession of valid, recognized first aid and CPR certificates would be an asset.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
- Knowledge of routine cleaning techniques and procedures.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform duties, in accordance with a work schedule, with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public and other civic employees.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
- Skill in the care and use of cleaning equipment and materials.

Additional Requirements
Shift work and weekend work may be involved.
Weekly Hours: Casual
Salary Range: $18.34 to $20.22 CAD per hour (2025 rates)
