The City of Saskatoon is looking for our next Banking and Revenue Operations Manager to manage the activities of the Banking and Revenue Operations Section and ensures its alignment with corporate goals.
The work you'll be involved in:
This position plans, organizes and controls the functions of the Banking and Revenue Operations Section which includes Corporate Banking Services, Revenue Systems, Customer Service Cashiers and Administrative Services groups. It is responsible for revenue intake for the Division and also acts as project leader for new systems, new technology implementations and modifications to existing systems for the Division and Corporation. The main duties of this position are to:
- Manage the activities of the Banking and Revenue Operations Section and ensures its alignment with corporate goals, guiding principles, and management commitments.
- Manage assigned staff; hires, assigns work schedules, assesses staffing needs, identifies and pursues other resources if necessary and performs layoff and recall. Plans and approves staff development. Conducts performance management and, when required, disciplinary action.
- Researches and leads the implementation of new systems, new technology and the modification of existing systems and ensures the development and training of staff, related to the implementation of new systems and changes to existing systems for the Division and Corporation.
- Develops, monitors and administers operating policies and procedures and ensures these are documented. Ensures the integration of diverse service delivery channels, including in-person counter services, telephone and online access.
- Acts as the primary corporate resource regarding the administration and enforcement of the City's banking services contracts, including reviewing and recommending changes to existing agreements.
- Manages the enforcement of various Municipal bylaws, policies and legislation related to the Banking and Revenue Operations Section activities.
- Supports the development of better business practices, processes and procedures for the Division, including analyzing operational issues/opportunities and recommending solutions.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including approving and managing Service Level Agreements and other related Grades of Service and/or performance measurements.
- Prepares written and oral reports in response to enquiries of City Council, Committees of Council, senior administration and the public.
- Prepares and monitors the budget for the Banking and Revenue Operations Section.
- Assists in the development of annual strategic business plans.
- Acts as the Director of Corporate Revenue, as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for:
- Degree in computer science, commerce or related discipline.
- Seven to nine years’ progressively responsible experience in the development and management of business systems, including three years’ supervising staff.
- Thorough knowledge of banking and financial automated and manual systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the work of assigned staff.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including the ability to prepare and present complex technical reports.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and analyse data to identify current and future opportunities and develop recommendations to address them.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with civic staff, civic officials, representatives of other agencies and the public.

Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Range: $113,871.36 to $133,798.56 CAD per annum (2026 rates)
